Pressure, Heating, Cooling and Vacuum are the processes that SFA UK harness and control for the creation of composite structures within an autoclave.
However Platten Presses can provide the same controllable environment for the curing of composite structures and can be a lower cost option for particular applications.
SFA UK produces a variety of press configurations, with a choice of heating systems typically electric, oil or steam to produce platten temperatures up to 600°C and with lock pressures of up to 2500 tons.
The presses use the SFA UK Press Manager™ control system, which has the ability to integrate resin melt and download operations with delivery systems that seamlessly interface with the major manufacturing MRP and SAP systems.
